Most of our mahi with KPMG was based online due to the continuation of the COVID-19 pandemic, lockdowns and alert level changes. We adapted our CQ course so that it could be delivered via Zoom from our base in Ōtautahi, to KPMG teams whose offices are in Te Whanganui a Tara and Tāmaki Makaurau. When the alert level system changed and it was safe to meet kanohi ki te kanohi, we took a group from KPMG onto Pipitea Marae and Ōrākei Marae. For many in the team, this was their first time on a marae or taking part in a pōwhiri, and we were able to guide them through appropriate tikanga and proceedings, as well as work in partnership with manawhenua so that local stories and histories could be applied to the information that was discussed in our CQ sessions.
