Our Story

NAIA’s purpose is to uplift and celebrate our Māori identity, our communities, and our stories. Our directors, Charisma Rangipunga and Che Wilson, are trusted and well-connected within te ao Māori, and have brought together a team of skilled professionals to support businesses, iwi, and hapū to make a positive difference for Māori. With our combined skills and knowledge, NAIA is well-positioned to work with organisations that are dedicated to supporting Māori aspirations and positively impacting New Zealand.

As a Māori business, whānau is at the heart of everything we do. Like a whānau, we value honesty, openness, and connection. This gives us the foundation to share freely, navigate difficult kaupapa and overcome challenges in a safe and respectful environment.

Our office, Te Maru Mōkihi, isn’t just a place to work; it’s a home. Shoes come off at the door, the jug is always on and a packet of biscuits ready to be broken into. Our kids turn up after kura, our pēpi are passed around amongst their doting aunties and uncles, and our families are included in our social events.

Connection at NAIA goes beyond just being workmates. We look after the whole person, including their whānau, whether it’s offering support during tough times or celebrating successes together.

At NAIA, the values that guide our work are founded upon this sense of whānau. We foster genuine relationships built on openness and trust, creating a supportive environment where everyone feels uplifted. Just as we support our people, we extend that same care to our clients, ensuring that the connection goes beyond the work we do together.

Our shared experience working for whānau, communities, and organisations—both commercial and charitable—spans decades. We are just as comfortable in Māori environments as we are in corporate organisations.

As New Zealand embraces the journey of working together, we’re here to support businesses and organisations ready to take positive steps forward. For Māori, we provide specialist support for kaupapa that help our whānau thrive. Equally, we’re committed to helping businesses engage meaningfully with Māori.
